The Ethiopian Red Cross Society has announced that an ambulance was forcibly taken from its West Gojam zone branch office in Fnote Salam city on Tuesday by "unidentified armed forces".
The association has revealed that the act is against the international Geneva Convention signed by Ethiopia and is outside the purpose of the association. The association appealed to those who committed the act to return the ambulance and allow the ambulance to continue its humanitarian service.
The association has requested that the employees, volunteers, ambulances and other vehicles of the association are safe and carry out their mission, and the armed forces in the country should refrain from such actions.
